Are you our New Operation Service Agent for Norwegian ground handling at Oslo Airport?

Join our dynamic team at Oslo Airport. As an Operations Services Agent, your main objective is to support the smooth execution of daily ground operations by assisting the Operations Coordinator and Manager.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining real-time system accuracy, coordinating with internal teams and external suppliers, and contributing to on-time performance targets through effective communication and reporting.

In this role you will be responsible for:
- Coordination of internal departments and third-party suppliers to keep everyone informed about the daily operation
- Communication with flight crews via VHF or ACARS, ensuring they receive all necessary information for arrivals and departures at Oslo Airport
- Reporting of daily operational statistics in real-time to maintain accuracy and transparency
- Flexibility to take on additional duties as assigned by the company, which may vary depending on operational needs

Reports Operationally (During Shift) To: Team Leader Station Control Center (SCC)
Role Overview:
- The Operations Services Agent is a key contributor to the day-to-day coordination of ground handling operations at Oslo Airport.
- This role supports real-time communication between departments, ensures systems are kept up to date and assists in maintaining operational performance.
- The position acts as a stepping-stone to the Operations Service Coordinator role, with a 6-month development period to demonstrate proficiency in coordination, communication, and allocation tasks.
Main Objectives:
- Support the Station Control Centre (SCC) in managing daily ground handling operations efficiently and effectively
- Ensure internal and third-party stakeholders are informed in real time to support on-time performance (OTP) goals.
- Maintain constant and clear communication with flight crew via VHF/ACARS for arriving and departing flights.
- Update airport and internal systems promptly with accurate operational data.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of daily operational reports.
- Demonstrate growth and readiness for promotion to the Operations Service Coordinator role following the 6-month skill evaluation period.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Maintain real-time communication with all operational departments and external suppliers.
- Ensure pilots and crew receive timely and accurate information required for flight operations.
- Track and update flight movement data and operational milestones in relevant systems.
- Monitor and report on operational disruptions, escalating to the SCC Team Leader where appropriate.
- Contribute to the upkeep of operational statistics and documentation as directed.
- Always Represent Red Handling in a professional and proactive manner.
- This role may include other duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
- Some travel may be required across the wider network to support operational needs.
Competence Profile (Ideal Candidate):
- Experience in an airport or airline operations environment.Solid understanding of ground handling processes and real-time operations.
- Previous experience from Norwegian Ground Operations
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including communication over radio (VHF).
- Ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure and in dynamic situations.
- Team-oriented, with the ability to work cross-functionally with internal departments and external partners.
- Familiarity with operational systems and airport databases is an advantage.
- Willingness and ability to learn and grow into a Coordinator position within 6 months.
Authority:
- As defined within the operational structure and delegation of authority.
- Escalates issues and decisions beyond scope to the Team Leader SCC or Front of House Manager as appropriate.
